Old Glossop CC x Jerome Robinson 🇳🇿🏏

Good evening all — we’ve got a BIG update… and this one’s official!

We’re delighted to announce that Jerome Robinson will be joining Old Glossop CC as our Overseas Amateur for the 2026 season! 🔥

At just 20 years old, Jerome is already turning heads across New Zealand. An exciting young talent from Palmerston North, he’s a clean-striking right-handed top-order batter, comfortable anywhere between 1–4, and currently starring for United CC in the Manawatu competition. He’s kicked off his 25/26 domestic season in style, hitting 230 runs in his 7 games this season . 💥

A proud Māori cricketer, Jerome has captained the Māori Schoolboys, represented the Māori Men’s side, and been a regular in the wider Central Districts pathway programme — including selection for Central Districts A after a standout 2024/25 summer.

He’s not afraid to broaden his horizons either. Jerome spent the 2025 off-season in Darwin, competing in the Northern Territory competition, and now sets his sights on the UK and Old Glossop to test himself in English conditions for the first time.

Jerome is a true multi-talent:

🏏 Represented New Zealand in Indoor Cricket (including the U22 Indoor World Cup in Sri Lanka)

⛳ A keen golfer (5 handicap!)

🎓 An enthusiastic youth coach, whose skills we’ll be putting to great use across the club next summer

🎯 And he’s eager to continue developing his right-arm leg spin while he’s with us

We’re thrilled to welcome Jerome to OGCC — a hard-hitting batter, a driven young athlete, and a fantastic addition to the club both on and off the field.
